How to succeed in Online Marketing

 

Someone send me this story about 

how he succeeded in Online Marketing.

So i am sharing it here ...

In the beginning, i was able to make 

my first $100 online, then my first $1000 online,

then my first $10000 online, and then my first 

$100000 online, and so on....

Level 1 - Making my first $100 dollars was done

via affiliate marketing. Simply finding a product 

that people wanted and then promoting that 

same item  via Facebook groups 

I had a friend that asked about buying

that product.  So I got an affiliate link from 

ClickBank and gave it to him to purchase.

This was a significant game changer for me 

because I then realized that affiliate marketing 

really works.

Level 2 - My first $1000 dollars I earned online

I did by blogging. 

Blogging back in 2011-2012 was equivalent to 

making Tik Toks, IG Reels, or YT Shorts.

You just create content teaching something 

or about something you are keen in. 

And from there people will find it via SEO

and then you can also place ads,

or capture leads and selling them a product.

Level 3 - My first $10,000 online was really 

just more of the same thing, but instead I added

in some excellent copy writing. 

From there it allowed me to start using 

those skill sets to sell higher and higher 

ticket items on the internet, which can 

generate a BIGGER Profit.

Level 4 - All I did was begin to leverage 

paid advertising to starting selling products 

that I found to be high converting.

For me that product was Teespring, 

whereby I uploaded designs onto T-shirts and 

started selling those shirts via Facebook ads,

Instagram ads and Youtube ads ...

Level 5 - Finally hitting that 7 figure level 

was extremely difficult believe it or not,

because  it took me a lot of outsourcing.

For me it was shopify dropshipping and 

Print on Demand. So I started to create 

branded shopify stores as well as general stores 

and from there I started to sell other 

physical items in those stores.

I had 6 stores and over 7 employees 

working for me at the time.

Every marketer was talking about

Tik Tok for the past 2 years.

From the tone of the email wordings,

its very obvious that this person is still

an amateur in Search Engine Optimization !!

Is SEO dead ?

Is it worth it to do Search Engine Optimazation ?

7 years ago when Google intensified their

algorithm changes via their Panda, Penguin

and Hummingbird Updates ....it created

havoc to those websites that were on the

higher ranks of Google search.

Sites that used to be on the 1st Page

of Google suddenly dissappeared and

dropped to many pages behind !!

And some of these sites belong to major

companies that had paid hundreds of

thousands in fees to so-called SEO Gurus

to rank up high ....

Even I am not spared.

For 70% of my over 800 blogs in cyberspace

( in English and other foreign languages )

also dropped out from the 1st and 2nd Page

of Google.com, google.my, google.ru, google.jp,

google.kr, google.it, google.de, google.ca ...etc

AND i use some of these blogs to divert

traffic to my mobile apps !!

Gone were the good old days,

when I could create a 3-posts blog in 30 minutes,

--- do some keyword stuffing, add in some

long-tail keywords, insert some LSI keywords

or Latent Semantic Indexing keywords ---

use my software to SEO it with backlinks, social

bookmarking, pinging, submitting to directories

and PBNs ( private blog networks ) , etc ...

AND VOILA ... within 3 days my blog would

rank the Top 5 at Page 1 ....

Google is constantly evolving.

It is always changing the rules of the game.

You can stay 1 step ahead of them

BUT not for long ....

So if any so-called SEO expert says he can

game Google for you .... just tell him to go to

Africa and hunt for some wild animals first ....

New rules on Video Games and Mobile Games

 

China has just announced new rules

to curb the addiction to video games

and mobile games by its younger

population

To tackle gaming addiction, 

China is cutting video gaming time to just 

3 hours a week for players under age 18.

i.e an hour a day on Fridays, Saturdays, 

Sundays and public holidays

The National Press & Publication Administration, 

China’s top watchdog for gaming and 

other forms of online media, 

formally issued the rules to combat 

gaming addiction among teenagers

Thus earnings of gaming companies like

Tencent Holdings, NetEase and BiliBili will

be impacted over the longer term 

as the new rule could gradually 

erode the country’s player base.

Under the new rules, these gaming companies 

must strictly implement the real-name 

registration and login system in their games 

and not provide access to video games 

for those who are unregistered.

Of late I have been receiving many emails

from other parties that I do not know !!

And the latest one reads like this :

My question to my readers is ....

would you sacrifice the security of your

Ad serving has been Restricted

 

The reason i build and created apps

is because I monetized them with 

Google Admob or mobile ads.

And my apps are very simple apps

that only have Images and Youtube videos,

and links to Affiliate Marketing products.

It was about 3 years ago that I built

these apps by buying Mobile Apps Builder

softwares via some Affiliate Marketing Gurus.

These softwares allow me to create apps

very fast, using their Drag & Drop format

and Ready-to-Use templates without any

Coding knowledge needed.

In fact, the first Mobile App Builder software 

i bought has a Recurring Monthly Payment plan.

Since the monetary returns from using it

was too low, I decided to terminate its usage.

Then i bought another software to build my apps

and it only cost me a One-time Payment of 

US$97.00.

BUT the problem is this ... 

the developer of this software has gone bust,

and I have NO access to the software anymore !!

And every week, I would receive emails from

Google Admob saying ... " Ad serving has been

restricted to your app " ....

How can I edit my SDK if I dont even have 

access and Log In to my app software anymore ?

How to generate Traffic to Mobile Apps

 

With millions of Mobile Apps in the

Google Play Store and Apple App Store, 

its a difficult task for Mobile App Creators

to generate traffic.

While popular Keywords or rather the

Most-Searched Keywords play a very

important role in determining the exposure

of the App .... another factor is also the

Ranking of the App.

For broadbased keywords and long-tailed

keywords, its the norm for newly-created apps

to be hiding deep down in the ranking.

What's the use of building a 1st Class App

if nobody can find your app ?

What's the use of creating a beautiful app

if its ranked at the bottom ?

Having your app approved and uploaded

to Play Store and Apple Store for your 

Android and iOS apps is basically a

DEFENSIVE Strategy .

What you need is an ATTACKING Strategy.

Meaning you get people to come to your app

rather than waiting for them to come to you !!

THUS one method i use to generate Traffic

is to post in Facebook Groups ...

These are groups which are Relevant and

Congruent to the Theme & Topic of my app.

I have been doing this for about 2 years,

and the results are quite good indeed.

BUT lately, the algorithm of Facebook

has changed tremendously, and always say

my posts are considered as SPAM .

Thus my traffic has now been reduced,

and my apps exposure too !!

So its now back to the drawing board

and think of NEW ways to get more

traffic to my apps again .

Update GMA SDK in iOS apps

 

On early June 29 i received an email

from Google Adsense which reads like this :

Drive improved iOS apps performance by 

updating to the latest GMA SDK after 

AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) rollout in iOS 14.5

Recommendations for using AdMob 

after ATT rollout are as follow :

Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) policy 

requires developers to ask for permission when 

they use certain information from other 

companies’ apps & websites for advertising purposes.

These changes will reduce visibility into

key metrics that show how ads drive conversions 

(like app installs and sales) and will affect how 

advertisers value and bid on ad impressions. 

So app publishers may see a great impact 

to their Google ad revenue on iOS with 

Apple’s ATT policies taking effect.

To help you respond to these changes 

and improve iOS monetization rates, 

Google recommends you to :

1. Install the latest Google Mobile Ads SDK 

for iOS (for AdMob). Versions 8.5.0 and later are 

built to drive key performance improvements.

a. Google Mobile Ads SDK version 8.0.0 

introduces a few major changes as well as some 

renames and removals of APIs. Updating to GMA 8.0.0 

without updating calls to these APIs may result 

in apps failing to build successfully and may also 

affect revenue. Learn more here.

2. Configure SKAdNetwork with 

Google’s network identifier. We recommend you 

also configure participating third-party buyers' 

SKAdNetworkIdentifier values.

Advertisers are using Apple’s SKAdNetwork API 

to measure the value they get from your app, 

so doing so is the best way to get credit for your 

app’s ads performance.

3. You can track iOS 14.5 performance in 

AdMob reporting via the serving restriction and 

operating system dimensions.

Now my question is  --- Why must the App Creator

be burdened with having to UPDATE the SDK

every few months ?

Just uploaded the ads-txt details into this website.

But i dont know what is ads-txt ?

The reason i asked is because Google Adsense

sent me an email which reads like this 

" To prevent severe impact to your revenue, 

copy and paste the following line into each ads.txt file "

As per what Wikipedia states, ads.txt is an 

initiative from IAB Technology Laboratory. 

It specifies a text file that companies can 

host on their web servers, listing the other 

companies authorized to sell their products 

or services.

According to support.google.com

Authorized Digital Sellers, or ads.txt is an

IAB Tech Lab initiative that helps ensure 

that your digital ad inventory is only sold 

through sellers (such as AdSense) who 

you've identified as authorized. 

Creating your own ads.txt file gives you 

more control over who's allowed to sell ads 

on your site and helps prevent counterfeit 

inventory from being presented to advertisers.

Google strongly recommend that you

 

use an ads.txt file. It can help buyers identify 

counterfeit inventory and help you receive 

more advertiser spend that might have 

otherwise gone toward that counterfeit inventory.
