3rd Party SDK

Of late I have been receiving many emails

from other parties that I do not know !!

And the latest one reads like this :

=================================

Hi,

               I work for an app company called XXX in the telecom space. We provide an analytics solution to mobile operators that helps them to build better networks. Our model is that we collect data related to the mobile network quality (for example signal strength, latency etc) through an SDK that we deploy on partner apps as input data to our analytics solution.

For this, we offer revenue to the app developer partner. We would be interested to get in touch with you to discuss possibilities of integrating our SDK to your Android app. Our SDK is really lightweight and easy to integrate, it purely collects data related to the mobile network quality and it is fully GDPR/CCPA compliant.

We do not sell any raw data at market places and purely use the data as input to our analytics platform that mobile operators across the world use. Also, we do not capture any data when the app is in background and you as a developer have full control when the data collection is done.

This is a guaranteed additional revenue stream for our app partners and in contrary to ad revenues it has no negative impact on the user experience on the app since it is not noticeable for the user. Please get in touch to discuss further!

Best Regards,

My question to my readers is ....

would you sacrifice the security of your

own App .... just for an additional revenue stream ?
